Looking at all the futuristic movies when I was a kid, I didn’t think that it was possible to own a robot. So, when the first iRobot vacuum cleaners was introduced, I was more than excited! I must admit that I waited for a few generations of iRobots before I finally bought mine. I just loved mine because it’s great for my hardwood floors!

Reasons to love the iRobot vacuum cleaners

1. iRobot vacuum cleaners are flat and this is a good thing, especially because it’s a robot vacuum cleaner. What good would it be, moving around your house but not be able to vacuum under the furniture? I just love this because I no longer need to crouch on all fours just to vacuum under the bed!
2. One of the great thing about most of the vacuum cleaners is that you can schedule your cleaning whenever that is convenient for you. A tip: it’s good to have it on when nobody is around to avoid any tripping over the little robot. If you have pets, you may want to program it to vacuum every day so that your pet’s hair will not have the chance to clump into a dust bunnies.
3. On lazy days where you don’t have anything interesting to do, the iRobot vacuum cleaners will keep you mildly entertain. It’s most fun watching it making your pet nervous and jumpy! If your pets are not the jumpy type, you can put them on the vacuum cleaner for a little joy ride. Yes, it may not be as exciting as a laser tag game, but it does make a cheap entertainment subject for a Youtube video.
4. The robot vacuum cleaner has a special dirt detector that will tell it that it needs to spend more time on a more dirty area. It will circle around the area until it’s satisfied that it has done its best to vacuum everything up.
5. Just like a person, the iRobot vacuum cleaners knows when it’s ‘tired’ and out of energy. Once it detects that it’s low on power, it will make its way to its charging dock. However, it may not make it, either because it doesn’t have enough battery life to get back to the dock from whereever it was or in it’s ‘lethargic’ state, it may get confused and gotten lost.
